Continuation... Gaylord.

Friday:  got to relax most of the day. watched a few movies. McRick made me watch Cat's Eye, an ancient Stephen King novel turned into a movie.  James Woods was in it... the only redeeming factor oh and a very tiny Drew Barrymore.  Then I watched Fight Club... thank god for Chuck P.  oh and Brad Pitt & Jared Leto. prowl.  I had to brush up on my fighting skills... who knows what's gonna happen in the city with these crazy bitches!  but seriously. i'm a pansy...i'd run.  i digress.

That evening we went to see Toby Keith.  Who knew there were so many cuntry fans in Jersey.  We walked into the venue and I felt like I was at Wal-mart in Hanover. It was scary! haha  The evening wasn't as painful as I had imagined.   The Big Dog Daddy puts on a good show and well he's very patriotic. (and probably drive a Fix Or Repair Daily) He's does have nice teeth for a redneck. Lots of RW&B confetti and pyrotechnics. There needs to be a little disclaimer with patriotism...you can support and defend your country...as long as your not gay or have flat feet.  I guarantee I was the only gay out of 17,000 Toby fans, but it's cool.   Then we had to climb Mount Everest to get to the car. We parked on the top of the parking structure, like 8 stories up. boo.
To the city we headed. We met up with Kass and her friend Jess. They were in the fashion district getting their hair did for like 8 hours.   We hung out there for a few. Got a free drink and free fumes.  It was the closest to gay I got all weekend.   But it was taken away as quickly as it had entered. :(   We then headed to Cafeteria  "amped-up comfort food plus an unquestionably hip Chelsea setting, 24 hours a day."    They sat us in the basement at first. It was filled with stale air and mcbitches, who told us we couldn't sit at the big person table cause we only had four and it was reserved for five.  We were told to sit at these miniature tables like 2 feet high with eggs as chairs... what?   We said nay and went back upstairs for some fresh air and a real table.  The food was good, the service a little subpar, but the waiter was cute. I had fabulous meatloaf sliders and shared mac'n'cheese with McRick. I think we were there til like 3/4? I don't really recall even though i didn't even have a drink. It's amazing how time flies in NYC.

Saturday: Pub Crawl. We started around 1ish, in the afternoon, at Jack Demsey's, where McRick and I met up again with Kass and Jess aka Tits McGee and Legs McPhee.
Then if I remember correctly we headed to Queens to pub crawl in the Irish section. We hit Donovan's Pub, which supposedly has the #1 rated burger in NY. So we went to try it out.  Not bad...not the best i've ever had, but not bad.  Outside the restaurant we ran into this old man that gave us candy. I was a little nervous cause they say "never take candy from strangers" but he was sweet...so what's the harm.  Then to Saint's & Sinners, which involved us walking in and turning around and back out. It was the least Irish pub out of them all...it was kinda clean and fancy inside. Not our scene. Then we went over to Sean Og Tavern were we hung out for a few. Played some pool, met some Irish and drank some beer.  I tried Guinness for the first time. I'm not a fan. It left this weird taste in the back of my throat.  I really tried, but I only made it a few sips before I gave up.   We met two interesting characters...McBrian and McVinnie.   McBrian and I were apparently best friends. He was quizzing me about my sexuality and then kept apologizing for it. It was fun to listen to him...because he was wasted.
McBrian and McVinne took us over to Maguires? where I had a Jager-bomb (just one though, I was behaving myself that night) They had a guitar shaped table with a fiddle and banjo inside. It was sweet. After that we headed to  KC Moores? for some karaoke. I'm not a fan of karaoke. I don't really understand the fascination, but it's fun to watch nonetheless.  McRick and I headed out fairly early cause I had to wake up at like 7am to get to York for L&J's tea party the next morning.
I am decidedly a voyeur. I would much rather people watch than join in.  As McRick said, i'm a Type B, but then again she also said I wasn't presentable. haha.  Really she meant approachable.  Which I know is true, why should I feign that I want to talk to people when I don't. I'm proudly anti-social.   I did have an awesome time this weekend, but then again I was hanging out with three beautiful ladies...all of which were Mcstraightees, but it was a still fantabulous.

This is Pappy. He is on a Gnome exchange program.  I don't know much about him other then he was living in Brooklyn and now he is currently residing in River Edge NJ with McRick.  He watched me sleep all weekend and apparently he is chiseling something out of stone. Luckly he didn't steal my breath.
